Sneak Peak - Baby {C}

For anyone that know me, you know that I just love to meet and visit with new people. Honestly working at Sjoberg's is fun for me a lot of days just because I get to visit with the customers. I know the elderly ones it just makes their day as it does mine to see them smile. I got to meet the mom to this family at the bank that Sjoberg's works with, and so happy I did! She is the nicest person and it was fun to meet his dad at the session also and catch up on the new baby.
Little {C} wasn't too happy with the whole picture idea but I had such a hard time picking the ones to post on here!! I think we just kept pestering him too much and all he wanted to do was sleep. I would say that we captured him perfectly though...although how could you not get a perfect picture with this little cutie!
And he arrived just in time for Christmas!

And this has got to be one of my favorite newborn pictures of all times!

Dad and Mom are Twins fans and his bedroom is sports theme so I was so excited to see her walk in with this pillow pet...I think they found his new bed with how comfortable he was on it!

Aww.....

And you know I just love a profile picture...even on babies ;)

And last but not least...just look at those little pucker lips!!

I have so much fun each and every time this family comes to me for pictures...and I love the fun props that mom brings for the sessions too ;) It was so, so hard for me to just pick a few, I wish I could post them all!

And then...how in the world could I not post this!! I have come to find out that 6 month olds are my absolute favorite! We had a hard time getting some smiles out of her but we got a lot with her tongue out...I remember this from her newborn pictures too.

And how much fun is it to have a 2nd birthday cake smash!! Remember his 1st birthday?

I definately can not wait until the next time!!

I have been so beyond blessed to meet some of the best photographers around, simply due to my passion for the orphans of the world. One of the items on my bucket list is to be able to go on missionary's with my girls, when they are old enough to understand, to help with the worlds orphans...but some people think I would probably take one home(and I can't say I wouldn't!)My whole photography beginnings started from simply following a ton of wonderful adoptive families' blogs and one led to the next, to the next, and so on.
I attended a workshop in 2011 in the cities and met Lisa through my mentor's website. I was so in awe of her awesome photography but was so intrigued by her adoption stories! She had many surprises along the way but what a beautiful and perfect family they now have! And to top it off she is an awesome cook...and shares many wonderful recipes ;)
So...starting November 25th...these three wonderful ladies will be hosting the "Fill Their Stockings" giveaways. Sneak Peak - C Family

This is a family that I have known since I was little...you may remember the oldest granddaughter from a mini session I did this summer in Oklee. And she was as cute as ever this time around too! I also got to capture her twin cousins...what fun!

Aren't they the cutest!!

My brother graduated with their dad and I hadn't visited with him since they were in highschool..definately fun catching up!

I just love little M's tights...that is one thing that I miss about my girls growing up...all the cute outfits!!

And last, but not least, M....I just love her curls in her hair!

Sneak Peak - G Family

What a beautiful, beautiful fall day we had yesterday!! I was so happy to wake up and see the wonderful weather we were having and was amazed at how warm it got outside. I was quick to call up the mom of this wonderful family and beg to take outside pictures...in my photography world, there isn't quite anything like taking outdoor pictures! And I was so, so pleased with how well they turned out....this post is picture heavy. What can I say with 3 cute boys like this family has. Another daycare family with us and my girls are just smitten with love for these boys. Taya gets to "help" with baby J and loves every minute of it! She just beams when shes sees him walk in the door and he just flashes his smile right back at her.

L just magically turned into a big boy when baby J was born ;)

J is a handsome 8 year old...he did so, so well with the pictures!

And last, but not least...baby J. He seemed to have very few of his smiles for us but still loved what we got!

I LOVE referrals....partly because I know that I am doing my job but also because I love to meet new clients! I enjoy getting to see the different personalities of all the kids and families and how they all interact. This family was definately fun! I haven't gotten to capture a family this big but let me tell you...what a breeze! It was cold and rainy and they did great. Although, we were lucky enough to not be stuck in the rain until 5 minutes after their session was done :)
I had a hard time doing a sneak peak but definately had to include everyone! Enjoy....

{2011 Red Lake County Central Senior} Hamrum

What a fun session this was...it was fun to have a change of pace and props and I was so happy with what we came up with. I really could've posted all of them but figured I better leave some surprises for his mom. We are lucky enough to have this great family as a neighbor that lives about a mile away from us. And my girls were also lucky to have Mrs. Hamrum as their pre-school teacher. Definately a start to their learning and future and they had so much fun!
This has to be one of my favorites...

And every boy has to have a truck!

And he is into the oldies so we took some of his favorite albums and found a fun way to show them...

Sneak Peak - {K} Family

So I am finally getting to try out my new blog design...and I love it! I still have a few items to add and change around but that will be done when I get more time. I was so excited to have this family back...I hadn't seen them since the littlest ones 1st birthday so I was surprised how much he had grown....and he definately got a lot more hair! You may remember him from this post.
And what a perfect family they are! There is just something about little boys that catches my eyes...probably because I have two girls, but boy were these two handsome!

And the last time I saw the oldest boy {L} he wanted nothing to do with taking pictures, luckily that had changed this year and we were lucky enough to get a ton of great pictures!

I just adore this black and white....

And then there was {P}....he was all smiles and did so well. Sometimes this age is so busy but this was a breeze!

We had such a beautiful day to capture this gorgeous girls senior pictures...and we also had some fun spots picked out! I just love it when people offer up some new spots ;) This is definately picture heavy but I think it is worth it...how could I just pick a couple?

And yes...this tree stump was this big...

And she loves volleyball...I have been lucky enough to watch her play, and wow...is she awesome!

Sneak Peak - {L} Girls

What a couple of gorgeous little girls...they honestly remind me of my two. One brunette and one blondie! And definately some well behaved girls to boot...they were so easy to capture and new that they got a prize when they were done.
Here is the littlest...{P} has the most beautiful blue eyes. And doesn't she just look like she is wearing lipstick?

Sneak Peak - {N} Family

What a great session this turned out to be...the night started out with me wondering if we were even going to be able to do this session. Right now, the mosquitos are horrible in my yard (where I do most of my sessions) so I had call and ask if they would be interested in moving to my Dad & Mom's, in town, as to avoid the mosquitos. Needless to say, they were a little better, but boy are they hungry this time of year around here. This was a quick session, but definately a keeper!
Let me tell you...this is picture heavy and I had more but thought I better eliminate a few ;)

And the main reason for this session was to celebrate little {A}'s 1st birthday!! You may remember the two younger kids from this session. Wow have they grown!!
Definately had so much fun with the outdoors cakesmach...and look at this outfit, a photographer's dream~

And I couldn't leave out some in this cute outfit too...

And look at those eyes...I tell you I am so lucky to get all these kids with beautiful eyes!!

And certainly not least...boys just crack me up! It is for sure not cool to take pictures, but I just love this age because just once in a while they will come back for "just one" {M} had to go grab his Twins baseball cap and come back for just one, but I ended up with 6 keepers. He is just so stinkin' cute I just can't wait to watch him grow, as he is going to be in Kindergarten with Kya this year.

It makes me so happy to know that my tiny graduating class of 16 has stayed so close. I still talk to every single one of them and when they come back home we are all sure to get together. Funny though how sometimes the ones that live the closest I get to see the least :( {A} family was so much fun to capture....I just loved the interaction of the boys and how much they loved to rile each other up! There is one family picture that shows this perfectly, but I figured I better show the formal one ;)

And this little guy just reminds me of his mom so much!! (I do see his dad in him too but this is exactly how I remember his mom ;)

I was so excited when I found out this family was going to have an addition....not only because they are a great family but because they are so darn cute. And those eyes....what more do I need to say!! We got to celebrate a few things this session..."Big" brother {J} was turning 2 and little bro {E} was turning 3 months. And let me tell you, can little {E} was so strong and let us capture some pretty cute photos. He would just sit there and stair....a photographer's dream :)

Hasn't he changed from his first year photos!! But those eyes sure haven't.

They had to bring along their gorgeous older sister for a group shot.

Sneak Peak - Little {S}

What a beautiful baby...and I just love when moms bring their own fun props along! She was a fellow etsy addict like me so it was so adorable. I first got to capture their older little boy about 6 months ago at his first bithday...now they brought their newest addition along.
I just had to use my newest prop form The Shed...I just love it that you can use it from newborns up to older children!

What a fun headband too!

And we couldn't leave {P} out of these....he was a pretty active little guy but this picture is almost as if she is looking up at him.

And just had to add one of {P}...he has the best smile all the time. He was just busy playing with his grandma's phone but still gave these sweet smiles.

Sneak Peak - {S} Family

I was so happy to be capturing this family....I have taken of their kids before but never have gotten to of the whole family. And what a great family they are...you can just tell how much they love each other in every picture. And the kids....they did so great that it was really a quick session. But I would have to say that I captured everything that we wanted to...and then some!!

Seriously...I could just eat these kids up and take pictures of them all day!

And finally little K...we weren't going to take any of the kids individually because they just wanted the family pictures. Here I sat for about a half hour earlier in the day picking the dandelions out of my shooting location and when K got there...that is what she wanted to do...and I LOVED it! These turned out so adorable and I am so happy I took a few extras!!

Just look at those lips and lashes!

Black & White Wednesday - Time for my own

I have been pretty swamped around here lately with session...I am loving it but I needed to make time for my own girls. It was a beautiful night last night so thought it was time to take my own out for some pictures. Taya and Kya are always beyond willing but Kya just wasn't interested. I was happy I got her to join in and can't wait to show you the rest of this session hopefully soon!
I just can not believe how grown up Taya is getting...she says she is going to be a farmer and a photographer when she gets older. I always ask her how that is going to work as your busiest times for farming is spring and fall...same with photography:) I love it though.

And then there is Kya...she too has gotten so mature. We have been super busy at the school lately with preparing for Kindergarten. She is beyond excited to go everyday (I wonder is she will be saying that when she is 16!!) She wants to be a vet or a surfer girl when she gets older...hmmm....wonder how the whole surfer girl thing will go growing up in Northern Minnesota ;) But the girl loves to dream so you never know!! I wouldn't mind getting to visit her somewhere warm...but then again I would love for her to just live right next to me forever....Taya already has plans for that!

What a little model....she just does her own thing.....LOVE THESE TWO MORE THAN ANYTHING!! I definately have been holding my husband and family closer this week as one of Nick's cousin passed on suddenly after his Boston marathon qualifying run....35 years young and leaves behind a great wife and 3 wonderful kids. They are constantly in my thoughts and prayers along with his parents. He was always such a happy go lucky guy and I can just picture his smile. He grew up only a block from me so we knew his family very well. Life can end at any time and I need to make more time to enjoy my family. So happy camping is finally upon us to enjoy those weekends with them.

Black and White Wednesday - Love My Job!!

I don't know if it is just me, or if I just love my job that much, but one of my favorite things about photography is simplicity. I happen to enjoy it when kids are not cooperating perfectly. From a parent stand-point, it is so frustrating but on the other side of the lens, it is perfection to me! Kids being kids! And it seems, that is when I notice the little dimples, wrinkly hands and funny faces kids make.
So this week I decided to show a side of my sessions I usually don't post but end up liking the most!
I just love the little wrinkles on her wrists, pebbles ponytail and just the length of her hair. I also like how she is just enjoying playing with the barbie car, something that comes and goes so quickly in life. And the way she is pushing it ;)

I was so happy when when the {L} Family called me again to capture their family...and they were blessed with a special addition!!!
{B} was a busy little girl during her session and wanted to be doing anything but take pictures. But...I would say we got quite a few adorable ones, not very hard when you are as cute as she is!

And for being 1 month old...he was one strong little guy...I couldn't get a picture of him with his head down for the life of me....but I love these and it show his true personality already...determined!

The {M} Family - Tri-Birthday Month!!!

Well, I gave everyone a pre-sneak peak of this wonderful family on Wednesday with the Black and White's but wanted to give you another look at this fun session. For having 3 kids to take pictures of for their birthday's all in March, you would think it would be hectic, it was the total opposite. They all did great and when it was the littlest turn, they all helped to entertain. Even Taya and Kya got to join in (thanks S for letting them help!) Taya still is talking about what a big girl {T} is!!

And I know I had more of little {T}, but it was her special first birthday so I wanted to cover every aspect of her. And these were just so much fun to add...the faces of little {T}.....So Big!!

Just a quick post for Black and White Wednesday...I have been missing far too many of these!! And had the best session to add to it this last weekend. Of course they are my style of black and white but who can resist taking these with children. And this session show why I like it even more...this group of siblings definately has their own features, what a great memory.
I had to work to get some smiles out of Mr. B...but what a great smile he has!!

And gorgeous E....well, she was so quite (I am sure mom is laughing at that right now if she is anything like my girls...only quite around other people)

And last, but not least...Little T...she was turning the big one...and just hammed it up for the camera!

I just love capturing these ages...there is just something so innocent about them. How they start out so shy and by the end are just hamming it up. These two were no different, they were so shy until they found my girls' toys and then ended up warming up enough to get a TON of great photos!

I had the best time taking this families pictures! Little {D} is so, so shy but I got her to open up for some pretty cute pictures if I do say so myself. She got such a kick out of me telling her not to tickle herself...it worked everytime. And then I was happy to see her come back to my house this past weekend again for my Thirty One party and she was wanting to play...so I call that success!!

Black and White Wednesday - "My Valentines"

I was running a little behind, wait I mean very behind this year for valentines. In fact I had promised Taya that we would do picture wallet valentines this year so she kept asking me every weekend when we would take the pictures for them. Well this past weekend came and went in the blink of an eye and I can't even say I did much of anything productive!! So Monday night I realized that Kya had to have her valentines all ready by Thursday...so off to setting up the background we went after supper.
I let Taya pick out the picture she wanted in black and white or color and this is what she picked for both girls....enjoy! I realize I need to take WAY more pictures of my own girls...I love them so much!
Taya is getting so big and is the best model...she will take pictures forever for me ;)

And there's Kya...what a hoot! I can't wait to show her session with all the different facial expressions she used. That is a post of it's own.

Black and White Wednesday - Finally Back ;)

So....I am finally back!! I have been missing in action a lot lately with staying busy with my girls' dance practice and starting my new venture of being a Thirty-One consultant. What a fun venture this will be ;) If you get a chance check out my website here...I just love all their products!

I just love everytime this family returns with their two kids...and can't wait for their third one to arrive in a couple months!! {K} is just two days younger than our youngest so we get to see lots of them with dance and all the other activities.
I just loved this dress....so pretty!

Well, I am finally back at it!! I was so excited when the {H} family contacted me after their new little girl was born...it had been a while since I got to capture a fresh baby and was so excited to take on this adventure again ;)
Big sister {A} came along for some family pictures and a few of her own...I just LOVED her curls!!

And what a close up but I just loved the way she came into the photo on this one!

And last but not certainly not least...baby {J}. She had the best tinge of red hair color ever and was just simply adorable. She wasn't too into pictures but I think we snuck quite a few from her. She sure was happy on mom's shoulder!

And we were trying to use some of my new hats and she just wasn't having the naked part. This turned out so cute though!

What a perfect family!! And let me tell you...I have never, ever gotten so many of the siblings together as this family. It was so cute because the little one wouldn't stay out of the pictures long enough to take many of the older one alone. But I sure wasn't complaining!! There is just something about the profile shot...I take one, two, o.k. maybe five at every session I do. There is just that innocense of it and it just reminds me of their little features they have. It usually is when children are just being themselves which in studio shots is definately harder to capture!

I was so happy for this family to return for Christmas pictures and {P}'s 1 year pictures. I had so much fun the last time {P} visited for his 9 month pictures and everyone I have talked to just loved the little hat and tie he had on. So I knew when I schedule this session it was going to turn out great! His older brother got to come along for Christmas pictures but wasn't too interested...I won't post any of those pictures so it's a surprise.

Black and White Wednesday - "Farm Boy"

I had a totally different post planned for today but last night I was editing my last session and really liked the way this turned out. I started with a black and white photo and then added a black and white texture(I think it was Storm) and then added a redish colored texture on top(Red Sky). I thought it fit him so well because he is such a farm boy that it made the red shed come back to life!

I was so excited to be able to capture this family!! It was kind of cold and cloudy but we made it work....I love doing on-location sessions for something different. This was a perfect yard and had so many great backgrounds! They are cousins of Nick's and we are lucky to have them in our girls' daycare.
If you know {L} at all...this is the perfect spot for him...he is such a farmer boy and I just love this shot!

They are just so cute together...but this was one of the few together as {L} kept trying to move away!! Brotherly and sisterly love I tell ya!

And last but certainly not least...beautiful {J}!! Her and our youngest are two peas in a pod...they are in the same class at school and all K talks about. They definately are two spunky little girls but so much fun to watch.

Happy Birthday mini bubba!!! I am so blessed to have family live so close to us...this is the brother of last weeks black and white wednesday and the same little guy as this post a few posts back. You know, as parents you don't always notice the change babies make in 3 short months but I can't believe the change in K...he looks so much older now!! And he has managed to start walking and exploring everything in those short 3 months. Without further ado......K. Hope you have the best birthday little guy!! We love you!

And the color version just because you can't miss his eyes!

And I finally got to do a cake smash!! It was so much fun and can't wait until I can do it again!

I was taking pictures of our nephew K for his 1 year birthday coming up at the end of October when we decided to take a few pictures of the older kids. I was sitting editing them last night when Nick walked in and said that is so A!!! I love this picture because when she is at the age of cheesy smiles but this is so natural and perfect!!

Black & White Wednesday - "9 months"

Isn't this little guy just the cutest thing ever! He joined our family just about a year ago now but I had to recap on his 9 month session because I have been so busy and I couldn't leave these off the blog!! He looks SO much like his older brother it's awesome!

And I just had to post it in color too...who can resist those eyes and his smile!

He was looking at mom!

And this one has a little grain added to it but I love it that way. Grandma has a picture of Grandpa that looks just like this...I can't wait to see the resemblance.

Sneak Peak-{G} Family

I was so happy when this family wanted to come back for more!! They were my first official "stranger" family and we have become great friends since then. The kids had sure changed since they were here last time..I think they switched rolls!! But they sure stayed as cute as ever and were so much fun to capture. They kept me on my toes but I like a challenge once in a while....{G} Family, I hope you are as happy with these as I am...It was so much fun seeing and visiting with you again ;)

Sneak Peak - {S} Family

I have been lucky enough to know this family forever...they are distant cousins of my husband and close cousins of my best friend so we pretty much grew up together. They 7 years ago we were both lucky enough to have two precious little girls about a month apart. Needless to say, they are great friends in school so we will be seeing a lot more of them! Happily of course ;) So when J secretively scheduled me to take family and couple pictures of them for their Anniversary I was elated. A is an awesome photographer herself...but who wouldn't be with these two cuties she has to capture. Thanks for a great time {S} Family...I just LOVE your yard and wish I had that many fun locations in one yard!!
These two remind me so much of my girls...they are so adorable!

I got to meet up with B again to capture the rest of her senior portraits...this time we were searching for all the fun locations...and if you have ever been to Northern Minnesota, you know that sometimes you have to really search! But I think we found them...and right in her back yard!

And I just had to add this one because it captured her true personality! Her cats wanted to be in the pictures so badly and she would just move them around so they weren't showing in ALL of them...well I loved them hiding in there! (look under her arm!)

What a fun, fun family!! I have known their mom since I was little as she was a couple years older than me in school. N is the same age as my oldest and what a difference from girl to boy....he was so much fun and LOVES to fish so I got to capture him doing what he loves most...fishing! I got to meet up with B for part of her senior session at this awesome location. She wanted to have some pictures taken in the wheat field...and she wanted it in her dad's wheat field. While we were there we took advantage of a few other fun places and ended up with a ton of pictures.

I was setting up for a senior session on Sunday and wanted to try out my lighting so I asked the girls if they were up for the challange. Of course they hopped right in!! There is more of Taya as she usually likes to sit longer so I gave Kya separate pictures:)
They seriously protect each other like this...I don't know what they would do without the other..although they do have their moments!

And then there is T...she will sit and pose for hours just letting me practice! (what a little mini me!)

This poor little girl had to re-schedule once before due to the mosquitos so I was hoping they would hold out for her, which they did until the very end but I think we got so many cute ones despite them.
What a nice family and what a fun treat for them to bring their dogs along for pictures also...and I must say they turned out so cute!

Look at these beautiful blue eyes and curly hair...she was so much fun!

And didn't these dogs just sit perfect!

This has been my first official senior shoot, and I couldn't have asked for a better one! I have know this young man's mom since I was born. My mom was lucky enough to sit next to her at Garden Valley and call her a friend! And I remember many fun weekends at their house on the lake.

{J} is into his guitar, and what a fun prop to have!!

I was lucky enough to meet the mom to these two kids at the bank we use, of all places. But we hit it off right away and have gotten to know each other quite well. And her kids are just as much fun as she is!
Mr. B just sat and did whatever I asked him to do...

And I think every little boy I have taken pictures of gets the gorgeous lashes!

And then there is K...she wasn't too happy at first but daddy came to the rescue and made her smile. I just love daddy's girls, mine are exactly the same! And by the end of the session she was giving me hugs ;)

This family was one of my most hilarious shoots yet!! They were so fun and had the funniest faces ever. I loved editing these pictures because every other picture made me laugh ;) We were lucky enough to get to know this family because they go to our girls' daycare. Both of the kids will be in my girls' classes too so we will get to enjoy them even throughout the school years.
First there is their gorgeous daughter A...she looks like an angel with the sunlight on her hair!

I love all her freckles...my daughter T calls them angel kisses...

And then there is L...he did not want to smile...just make fun faces for me but that is exactly how I see him everyday so that was so perfect...but I did get a few great smiles!

And their family is die hard Minnesota Twins fans!! So this is so fitting...

Thanks {S} Family..it was so much fun to have you over and can't wait for you guys to come visit again. Hopefully the mosquitos won't be so bad next time...I still feel awful about it!

Black and White Wednesday- Like old times...

I was lucky enough to enjoy an evening with my best friend when she came home to visit her parents and attend the Relay for Life here. We have been the closest friends since the age of 3 and haven't lost touch since. Now we are are both lucky enough to each have 2 girls and we try to get them together as often as we can so they can stay close like we did. They have so much fun everytime they are together and I know my girls talk about it all the time and can't wait for the next time.
This post is sure picture heavy but there were so many great ones to choose from. So this post is dedicated just to the black and white ones...and not even all of them ;) Poor girls were getting eaten alive by all the mosquitos so I am surprised we got what we did!

Youngest to oldest...she reminds me so much of her mom!!

And I love this!!

And oldest...she looks a lot like both her mom and her dad...actually her grandma...

At the beginning she was not having the mosquitos at all!! Poor thing was so worried about them all over me...luckily they had spray on! But by the end she was hamming it up for the camera, she is so smiley!

Black and White Wednesday-Love the Lashes!

So here is a quickie of little E...I hadn't really noticed this one until I was doing the complete edit of this session...and it is my favorite of all!! He has the best lashes ever. And his little smirk, this is how I see him 90% at daycare, but proud to say he is talking a lot more to me now that we had this session!

I have been busy getting my house ready for a visit tonight...I get to do a photoshoot of my best friends 2 little girls. I am beyond excited because it reminds me so much of the 2 of us when we were little, we were about the age her oldest is now when we became lifelong friends.

Here is the sneak peak for the M family...I just love this family...our girls are lucky enough to go to daycare with these kids and I am happy to have their momma as one of my really good friends. And to top it off we only live about 4 miles from each other so hopefully this summer we can get together more often ;)
E is such a handsome little guy, he rairly smiles for me when I try to talk to him at daycare but he felt comfortable enough to talk to me and actually throw out some smiles, and I am happy to say I love them all!!

And what a great capture of the two of them...usually I am lucky to get one good picture of siblings but these two had about 10 great pictures!!

And then their is S...I love her smile, her personality and she reminds me so much of her mom(lucky girl)

I went searching through my archives for this one...I attended a great workshop in the cities with Noemi Photography. What an experience it was as I was just starting out at the time. And what a fun atmosphere to learn in besides. I have so many great ones but this one just stuck out to me...

The M Family...and baby makes 3!

What a fun family to work with! The older two were just willing to do whatever I said and just sat there with a smile until I said we were ready for the next one. And when I asked if they wanted to take more...they did!! I love families like that:) This family is cousins to the little boy in my last post, so of course they have the beautiful eyes like him too.

And then there was baby T...she was so dark complected, perfect skin and such a cutie!! And I can't believe how many smiles we got out of her to boot...

And those eyes...

Every little girl needs to have a flower headband!

I have been lucky enough to capture this little guy since he was 3 months old, and what a blast it has been!! I loved watching this little guy grow and how much he has changed over the last couple of months even. So this time I decided to incorporate their sneak peak with B&W Wednesday.
Love his little smile!!

And yes...those are really how blue his eyes are!!

And here is my black and white for the day...I have to say I love it both ways but when he has such bright blue eyes you just can't pass on that!

And last but not least...this one is for daddy!! This is one of my favorites and the outfit just completes it!

I couldn't believe how much B had grown since I last saw her at her 6 month session..her hair had changed, she was so tall and she loves to move! And I could've just giggled at her jabber all day! I have never heard a 1 year old talk as much as her and you could tell she was really telling you something.

And I guess by now you all have figured out what my favorite pictures are...natural and just playing and non-posed...here is her shot at it and I must say it is a keeper!

Just because...

I love them! These two are the light of our life, they bring so much joy to us and are the whole reason I started this excursion. So on Saturday I had two photo shoots and had my backgrounds set up and figured it was about time to post a few pictures of our own for a change.
T looks so beautiful in brown and took the most perfect picture!

Then there is K...I heard a bunch of rummaging when I was taking T's pictures and figured she was just off playing. I told her it was her turn and this is what she came with...reindeer antlers! This is just so K, not a care in the world and never worries too much about what people think of her. And to make it even more special, I captured her wearing jeans...now to most this is the everyday thing but not to K, she is our dress girl(which is awesome!) but I still like to see her in a jeans once in a while. Without further a do...our little K, and K is for kitty which she tells us everyday she wishes she was ;)

When M's mom e-mailed me and wanted me to do her 6 month pictures I was elated. There is something I love about doing little girls photos, not that I don't have a ton of fun taking the boys' but it just brings me back to when my girls were little, and it sure seems like it was just yesterday! I also wish that I could've had some fun pictures of my girls like these. M was so much fun and I couldn't believe when she just sat there for an hour and let us do whatever we wanted to do to her. My kids would've never accepted that:) But I am pretty sure her parents will be overjoyed with what we got. I know they have been waiting patiently for these so hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

And grandma bought her this cute little bracelet, she was so funny to watch because she would just wave her hand when she had it on.

Like a beautiful flower in a flower pot!

Last, but definately my favorite! I have been waiting to do this with a little girl since I started photography! And I got it :)

I was so excited to take D's pictures, her mom and I have been friends since we have been babies. I got to follow along with her adoption and it is funny how it works but it is actually the reason I started following photography blogs and got into this all:)

This was a special dress to them, as they won it at an auction at their church. Their church sponsors a child from India and this dress was sent from there.

And this was just the cutest and perfect pose ever...oh so innocent!

D is also in dance class with my girls...she has the cutest dance outfit ever and even did a ton of dance moves for me to her moms beautiful voice!

The boy had such bright blue eyes and a little fuzzy hair and the girl had dark brown eyes and lots of hair! Thanks for letting me have fun with these two. The final two of the family coming soon...

This is a little different take on black and white...I wanted to excentuate the blue that the boy was wearing and the pink that the girl was wearing.

This is my nephew K, he just turned 3 months old and I was lucky enough to capture him at this age. He is so much fun to have around because until now, we only had one boy on my husbands side of the family. Although it has always been special for his brother N to be the only one it sure is fun to have another boy to watch out for our girls:)
He has the brightest blue eyes but I just loved this black and white one so I figured I would add it to the black and white wednesday theme.

I had so much fun capturing these two cuties, it was my first stranger client but I would have to say that I couldn't have asked for a better family to start with!! They were so easy going and willing to try anything so I just got to snap away.
Big brother N was so smiley and easy to capture and so polite to boot!

And then there was busy G...she kept me on my toes but I think mom and dad will be happy with the pictures we got, they capture her true personality!

And I love this next one, it has to be one of my favorite from the session. They absolutely love books and this is just how they sat, for precious!

I decided to join in the fun of Black and White Wednesday. My frind Lisa decided to start this because she has a whole wall just dedicated to the black and whites that she wanted to fill up. She is an awesome photographer so I know that she will have a beautiful wall. I thought it would challenge me to take more pictures this dreary winter, I can not wait for spring!!
This week I am putting up a picture of my newest beautiful niece M...she was only 10days old when I got to take her pictures. What a little doll!! I know her mom is just waiting for a sneak peak too so hope you like this...

Recipe Monday

So I decided to join in Colleen's Recipe Monday, I have gotten quite a few awesome recipes so far and decided to give it a try. I enjoy watching her blog, she has the most adorable kids and is an awesome inspiration in the photography department. I might from time to time do a few different things on here just for fun, hope you like it.

So here is today's try:
Meatballs
3 lbs ground beef
1 box stove top stuffing
1/2 cup sour cream
3 eggs
salt & pepper
onion-optional
Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

We had these tonight for supper, unfortunately I don't have beautiful pictures like everyone else but figured I would give it a try anyways.

Special post for the L & T families...

This was a very special session I did way back at the beginning of October, I couldn't post a sneak peak sooner on here because I couldn't ruin the wonderful surprise! Needless to say it took a lot of planning on their part with getting all the families together at their mom's house but in the end it was more work getting the parents out of the yard without knowing something was going on. Well they pulled it off and now that Christmas has come and gone she loved the surprise!! And lastly, it was only about 35 degrees that day and we happened to get lucky enough to have a blizzard in the middle of the shoot. The sun decided to peak out a little though so we got some wonderful shots.

I got to photograph another of my cousins cute boys, we are so lucky that our kids get to go to the same daycare so they are all pretty close. Sometimes a person shows up and finds the neatest places to take the pictures...this is truely one of my favorites:) T family, hope you like your preview!

Baby B-6 months

Yesterday I got to photograph baby B at my house. She had to have been one of the most mild mannered 6 months olds I have ever seen. She didn't make a peep the whole time we were taking pictures, even when the mosquitos were eating us all alive. Typical six month old, she had more fun shoving everything she could into her mouth than looking at the camera. We did manage to get quite a few though. L family, hope you like your sneak peak and can't wait for you to see the rest.

She has the most beautiful blue eyes and I just love her fluffy hair:)

It's been a while since I have updated but figured I would put a few pictures up of the girls. T started Kindergarten last week and is loving it, and is so excited to tell me how her day went everyday when we get home, and K is in her first day of pre-school right now. She was so excited this morning she just about couldn't stand it!!! And then wanted her sister when it came time for me to leave. No tears though so all in all it was a good start to the day, although hopefully it stayed good all day:)

I had such a fun time taking M's pictures on Sunday evening. I just loved his little outfits and sometimes, just sometimes make me wish we had a little boy too:) But I think that is why I enjoy this job so much because I get to enjoy them while taking pictures.
And boy did he have a fun personality and the cutest, cutest dimples ever!! Thanks for letting me take your pictures N family and can't wait for you to see the rest of them!!

Last weekend I met up with the B family. They were such a pleasure to work with and it sure isn't hard to take pictures when they are all so perfect!!
B family, thanks for letting me come to your cabin and photograph your beautiful grandchildren, it was so much fun!!!

This is handsome M, he has the most stunning eyes. And I just love his smile!!

And this is cousin B, he was so easy to photograph and I just love his hair!

This is beautiful M, she was pretty shy at first but came around when she saw how much fun everyone else was having:)

The last, but not least is little B, she was so fun because she would just sit and pose and ask me to take a picture!!

Children's Portrait Session:
A $75 deposit is required at the time of your session, $40 of your deposit will be applied to your print order. Family Portrait Session:
A $75 deposit is required at the time of your session, $25 of your deposit will be applied to your print order. This is an in-studio or on-location session with the average session lasting about one hour. Both family and sibling photo's are done. This includes up to 5 people(each additional person is $15) You will receive an on-line gallery with 20-30+ images.

Senior Session:
A $100 deposit is required at the time of your session, $100 of your deposit will be applied to your print order. This is an in-studio and on-location sessions with the average session lasting about one to two hours. This includes unlimited clothing changes and up to 2 locations. Each additional location is $15 per location. You will receive an on-line gallery with 40-50+ images.

So I am really behind on posting but hope to stay caught up now. This is one of my favorite pictures ever! Whenever K wants a kiss, she doesn't just ask for a kiss...she wants a smoochy kiss. And boy does she have the best smoochy lips ever!! And I love them and hope to remember them always by this picture!
